Be sure to visit the Metal Construction Association Demos for up close and detailed demonstrations of residential roof, commercial roof and commercial grade tools. Like last year, the entire demonstration area will be open for attendees to walk through during all exhibit hall hours.
This year's features:
- Separate tool demonstration sessions added to the schedule
- A larger seating area that is centrally located so you can easily watch and listen to our outstanding contributors
You’ll be able to ask questions and have one-on-one discussions with experts to learn more about each application. These detailed demonstrations of the installation of metal panels in roof applications are designed to give you more useful information to take back and use in the field.
MCA’s residential roof manufacturer members will focus on proper detailing of metal roof installations. Audience will learn the techniques used with natural metals (copper & zinc) as well as pre-painted aluminum and steel. Both standing seam and metal shingle installations will be displayed.
Commercial roof manufacturer members will focus on retrofit applications with metal. See how existing flat roofs can be converted into a sloped metal roof system. Existing aged metal roof systems can be retrofitted with a new metal roof without removal of the existing roof. In addition, come see how energy efficient building solutions can be integrated into metal roof systems. Audience will gain a basic understanding of technologies such as cool roofing, above sheathing ventilation and photovoltaic systems.
See the latest tools used for installation of metal roof systems. Proper tools used for cutting, bending and fastening will be displayed. A mechanical seamer demonstration will take place to assist the audience in proper standing seam joinery. The latest in metal roofing safety equipment will also be presented.
