This is nothing new to the industry but it looks like it is picking up again. Considering that copper alone has doubled since 2009 from $1.50 to $3.00 per pound this is not surprising. I guess I don’t understand why construction site staff isn’t more careful. Whatever happened to locking down the site to prevent this from happening? Or even hiring security for the overnight shift to watch the project area. Anyhow, this is happening all over the country but looks like this situation was isolated to the West Shore cities in Ohio.
