OrienteMagnificent Metal Mondays returns for METALCON 2017. For today’s feature we travel to Europe. This structure is located in Lisbon, Portugal and is called the Gare do Orient Station. The station serves as a transportation hub for subways, taxis, buses, and commuter rails. It was designed by Spanish architect, Santiago Calatrava. The steel construction on the station was done by EMESA Elaborados Metalicos S.A.
Oriente Station is one of the largest transportation hubs in the world. 75 million passengers pass through the station on a yearly basis making it just as busy as Grand Central Terminal in New York City. To view more impressive images of this structure click here.
