roofing installtionBecome a Certified Metal Roof Installer in just 2 days at METALCON 2018!  For the third consecutive year, top experts in the metal roofing industry will lead a two-day, eight-hour certification program based on MCA’s Metal Roof Installation Manual.  The Metal Roof Installation Training offers quality face-time with industry experts on substrates, safety, sealants, flashings, panel types and connections, tools, fasteners, maintenance and more. This year’s course will take place Tuesday afternoon, October 9, from 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm and Wednesday, October 10, from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm (including 2 hours on the show floor) at METALCON 2018 in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Registration in the training will also include access to the trade show for all three days!  While many metal roof manufacturers have their own in-house training programs for installers and contractors, this Metal Roof Installation Training program gives manufacturers access to a pool of qualified individuals trained in key topics related to metal roof installation. Installers and contractors will be prepared to hit the ground running with a basic knowledge gained through the certification program at METALCON 2018.  As a result, manufacturers will be able to create more efficient and tailored in-house training programs.  And for those individuals outside the metal roofing industry, this certification program offers a great opportunity to learn about the industry and experience training in the topics most roof installers are required to know.
Program Presenter and Vice President of Sales with ATAS International Inc., Jim Bush, shares, “The entire construction industry is faced with a shortage of qualified workers and the metal roof industry is no exception. The development of the Metal Construction Association’s Metal Roof Installation Manual is becoming a valuable tool for many organizations to further their workforce development. The live format of the educational sessions at METALCON enhances the participants’ learning experience versus the on-line version of the program. The ability to hear first-hand experiences of the presenters as well as peer interaction has been identified as valuable additions to the learning format. Additionally, admission to the METALCON trade show exhibit hall is included and allows attendees to experience products, systems and tools that are part of the learning objectives within the program.
Upon successful completion of the training program, a qualified individual will be presented with MCA’s Metal Roofing Certificate of Completion.  There is no better return on your investment than to have the opportunity to become a certified roof installer while also being able to network with the largest number of metal professionals under one roof.  Registration for METALCON 2018 will open in June!  Stay tuned for details.
