METALCON’s commitment to the metal industry goes beyond the exhibits. The annual trade show aims to provide you with an overall experience, including education and training programs. Most of the education sessions are included in your new Total Experience registration with a handful of more extensive special programs available at an additional cost.
As previously announced, METALCON will launch a redesigned show this year with everything located in one place – on the show floor! The Keynote addresses, General Sessions and Learning Centers will be included in your registration so, as an attendee, it will be more convenient to take advantage of these education opportunities in between visiting with exhibitors. Conveniently located off the center aisle, it will be easy to locate the new METALCON Theatre and Learning Centers. Check out our new FLOOR PLAN.
The Learning Center schedules are now complete and available to view on our website.
There are two Centers, both offering five 30-minute sessions from 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm on Wednesday, October 10 and Thursday, October 11. The same sessions will be offered each day to help attendees strategize their day. Several MCA Industry Committees will lead sessions on “Best Practices for Installing Insulated Metal Panels,” “What to Know about Metal Composite Materials,” “Roofing and Walls: Insulating Single Skin Panels for Today’s Code Compliance Requirements,” and “Foreign Fires’ Impact upon NA Building Codes.” Additional sessions will include, “Best Business Choice for Metal Roofing,” “Worth It! Strategies for Getting the Prices you Deserve,” “How to Attract and Hire Rock Star Staff,” and the “Five Inviolate Laws of Business Transition Success!”
The new METALCON Theatre will kick off on Wednesday, October 10 at 11:00 am with Steve Smith’s Keynote Address on Perseverance, Teamwork and Overcoming Obstacles followed by a panel of industry leading women roofing professionals addressing Building a Strong and Sustainable Business with Diversity at 2:00 pm and then Arrested Developments: Slip, Trip, and Fall Hazards with Trevor Zinn of Preferred Safety Products at 3:00 pm. Thursday’s featured Keynote will be Dan DiMicco, former CEO of Nucor Steel, speaking on The Economic Plan for Growth and Global Competitiveness in the United States – Implications for Steel, followed by two afternoon sessions.
