Coming to you live from the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, North Carolina where METALCON was all “a buzz!” While the forecast outside may be rainy, it was bright and sunny inside the convention center at the show, celebrating its 28th year! Sixteen-year NFL veteran and former five-time pro bowl, three-time all-pro receiver for the Carolina Panthers, Steve Smith Sr. kicked things off this morning when he presented
his Keynote Address on “Perseverance, Teamwork and Overcoming Obstacles” to a full theatre. Once the exhibit hall opened, it was non-stop action with attendees networking with exhibitors, learning from industry experts at General Sessions and at the Learning Centers, playing the Innovation Scanner Hunt, competing in the MCA Metal Roofing Games, “giving back” to the Steve Smith Family Foundation, and enjoying Oktoberfest beverages. At the end of the day, we were excited to raffle off two grand prizes including a NFL Football and an NFL Jersey, both autographed by Steve Smith, Sr. We also had our first $500 cash prize winner for the Innovation Scanner Hunt.
