METALCON is Giving Back to “Feeding Tampa Bay”

Next week, METALCON 2021 will make its return as an in-person event in Tampa, Florida, and will bring together some of the biggest and brightest leaders in the metal construction and design industry. In addition to showcasing new products and providing top notch education, METALCON will continue its tradition of supporting the local community where the show takes place. This year we have partnered with FEEDING TAMPA BAY, an organization focused on providing food to over 1 million food insecure families in the 10-county area of West Central Florida. We invite you to help us make a difference. A $20 donation will not only make a difference in people’s lives, but it will also qualify you for our daily raffle on-site at METALCON (*have to be in attendance at the show to win). We invite you to help us reach our goal of $5000 by making an online donation today or onsite at this year’s show. Your name will be entered into a daily raffle with your qualified donation (minimum $20). Raffle prizes this year include a St. Croix Rod and Reel, a Yeti cooler, and a full conference package for METALCON 2022 including a 3-night hotel package.

Hunger is a Challenge That Doesn’t Discriminate

Hunger is closer than you think. According to Feeding America, “Due to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, more than 42 million people may experience food insecurity, including a potential 13 million children.” Hunger affects everyday people, every day. Food insecurity can affect anyone: our neighbors, coworkers, the elderly, and classmates. Many people who need our help work hard day in and day out, but are one layoff, tragedy or natural disaster away from needing assistance. Feeding Tampa Bay honors and serves all neighbors compassionately and free of prejudice. Every dollar donated equals exponential meals and will help Tampa Bay be hunger-free by 2025.

METALCON’S “GIVE BACK” HISTORY

METALCON has been “giving back” since 1995 to national and local charities, proudly having donated upwards of a half a million dollars in goods, services and/or funds to non-profit organizations and worthy causes serving local host communities.
