Tampa is part of the metropolitan area most commonly referred to as the “Tampa Bay Area” which has an approximate population of 3 .1 million. It is located on the west coast of Florida with an average annual temperature of 73.1 degrees. Tampa International Airport serves over 21 million passengers a year and provides domestic and international access to Florida’s West Coast with over 90 nonstop destinations and 260 daily departures,. Alternatively, the St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport is approximately 15 minutes away from Tampa in nearby Clearwater, Florida. Tampa is also easily accessible by car as it located just off Interstate 75 which crosses six states.

METALCON HEALTH & SAFETY MESSAGE
The health and safety of our attendees, exhibitors, speakers, sponsors, partners and staff is, and will remain, our top priority. We are continuously monitoring the COVID-19 situation and are committed to work with the city of Tampa and the Tampa Convention Center to follow best practices and recommendations from public health officials, as well as national, state, regional, and local authorities including the CDC. Currently, the CDC recommends being all individuals, both vaccinated and unvaccinated wear a mask, social distancing, cleaning hands, and masking regardless of vaccination status when you are in large gatherings. METALCON staff will be wearing masks and have extras available at the show entrance. Contactless registration will be available at the Convention Center as well as the four contracted hotels. The GBAC star is the cleaning industry’s highest standard and is given out by the ISSA, the world leading cleaning industry association.
