Choosing the Right Metals for the Environment
Choosing the Right Metals for the Environment

One of the first considerations when re-roofing a home should be where the home is located. Why? Because the area where the home is located can have a big impact on the roof and its potential lifespan. Understanding how a home’s location can impact the roof goes a long way toward ensuring the homeowner selects and installs a roof that will exceed their performance expectations.

In this session we will discuss the various regional considerations that should be considered and how a metal roof can address any issues or potential concerns within that region. This includes metal roofing performance and specifications based on years of rigorous testing and research.

Learning Objectives:

  • Determine best metals for various environments and climates
  • Understand what environmental aspects affect the roofs performance
  • The benefits of choosing metal when re-roofing
  • Environmental concerns and how they affect and interact with metal
  • State or regional regulations and how they impact your area

This session is FREE to attend and will be located in the Sustainability Learning Center inside the Expo Hall. Availability is on a first-come, first-serve basis, and space is limited.
