Deana Lecy is the director of metals programs with North American Steel Alliance, a purchasing co-op representing more than 120 privately owned metal distribution companies. She began her career with Bethlehem Steel and has worked in the metals industry for nearly 30 years.
Lecy’s responsibilities have included contract negotiations with Fortune 100 companies, development and implementation of automotive strategy for merged organizations, senior management of commercial and operations departments, leadership development, and representation on various cross-functional teams aimed at process improvement.
She has been a member of Association of Women in the Metal Industries (AWMI) for nearly 30 years and has previously served on the Chicago board in various capacities. Currently serving as Chicago’s past president, Lecy enjoys the opportunity to mentor young women in the industry. She earned a Bachelor of Science from Valparaiso University and a MBA from Loyola University.
