Re-Roofing an old metal roof can be easy and affordable! Roof Hugger, LLC manufactures a full line of "Metal-over-Metal" retrofit framing systems for the metal roofing marketplace. Systems accommodate any existing metal roof panel profile including 6” thru 12” PBR panels, 12” thru 42” vertical rib & trapezoidal standing seams and 2.67” thru 7.2” corrugated roofs. Sub-purlins are manufactured to exacting standards using 50 ksi, 16ga.-0.060 min. thickness, G-90 finish, structural grade steel. Hugger''s factory-notched sub-purlins also add strength to the existing building''s roof purlins, typically compensating for the additional weight of the framing and new metal roof being installed. This unique capability also enables the new roof to be engineered to meet current and more stringent wind uplift and snow loads required by todays building codes. Standard products for the 12" on center R-Panel and for 24" Trapezoidal Standing Seam roofs can ship with 2-3 days after order acceptance and profile confirmation. Custom size sub-purlin heights and profiles are available and normally ship within 10-15 days. We also produce a wide range of structural grade hat channels. Roof Huggers are versatile allowing any manufacturers’ new metal roof to be installed over the Hugger framing system making re-roofing a breeze. When it comes to quality, Roof Hugger has the most stringently, independent laboratory tested, retrofit sub-purlin system in the Nation. Over 90 million square feet of old metal roofs have been retrofitted using Roof Hugger sub-framing systems since 1991.
